Most lifted-truck regrets do not come from the lift. They come from buying the pieces separately: a kit from one website, wheels from another, tires from a third - and then discovering at install time that the offset rubs, the tires need trimming the owner was not warned about, or the total quietly crossed the original budget by two grand. A complete package fixes the problem at the root: one plan, one price, and every part checked against the others before anything gets ordered.
What is in a complete package
At our shop a package means the lift or leveling kit, wheels, tires, all install labor, and the alignment - quoted as one number. Why the package beats piecemeal
Fitment is guaranteed before ordering. Lift height, tire diameter, wheel width, and offset all interact. We spec the combination as a set - so the tires that show up are the tires that fit. One visit instead of three. Lift, wheels, tires, and alignment go on together. You drop the truck off stock and pick it up finished.
One alignment, done once. Piecemeal builds often pay for an alignment after the lift and again after the tires. A package aligns the truck once, at the end, the way it should be.
The budget conversation happens up front. If $3,000 is the ceiling, we build the best truck $3,000 builds - usually a level, a great tire, and factory wheels - instead of an impressive kit with nothing left for the tires that make it work.
Three ways packages usually shake out
The daily driver. A 2-inch level, a 33-inch all-terrain on the factory wheels, alignment included. Starts near the $3,000 package floor, transforms the stance, changes nothing about how the truck tows or rides to work. This is the package we build most.
The weekend truck. A 2.5-3.5-inch lift, 35s on new wheels with the offset specced to clear without trimming. The classic looks-and-capability middle ground - most owners land between $5,000 and $7,000 depending on wheel and tire choice.
The statement build. A 4-6-inch kit, 35s or 37s, wheels to match. Here the package approach stops being convenient and starts being essential, because at this height every component decision affects three others - and quoting it as one build is the only way the number stays honest.
None of these are fixed menus. They are starting points we adjust around your truck, your tire, and your ceiling.
Matching the lift to the tire
The package math always starts with the tire you want. 33s usually need only a level. 35s want 2.5 to 3.5 inches of lift on most trucks. Bigger than that is a 4-6" conversation. Do trade-ins or take-offs lower the price?
Often, yes. If your truck is nearly new, the factory wheels and tires coming off it have real resale value - lightly used take-offs are in steady demand from owners going the other direction. Ask about it when we quote your package; depending on condition and fitment we can sometimes factor take-offs into the number, and at minimum we can point you to where they sell quickly. It is not a fortune, but a few hundred dollars back against the build is worth a sentence in the conversation.
Spread the cost if you want
Packages are the reason we carry financing options - it is easier to finance one complete build than three separate purchases, and approval takes minutes, not days. Monthly-payment math on a complete package is usually friendlier than people expect, and there is no penalty for paying it off early.
