Lift kits and wheels get the spotlight, but a steady share of the trucks in our Willis bays every week are here for accessories - a bed cover before hunting season, power steps because the truck got taller, lights because FM roads out past Montgomery get dark. If you have been searching for truck accessories near Willis, Conroe, or Tomball, here is what we install and how it works.
What we install
| Category | Brands we carry | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Tonneau and bed covers | Retrax, BAKFlip | Locking up tools and gear, keeping weather out of the bed |
| Steps and running boards | AMP Research, N-Fab, Westin | Family trucks, lifted trucks, work boots |
| Lighting | Morimoto | Headlight and fog upgrades that actually pattern correctly |
| Bumpers and grille guards | Ranch Hand | Brush, feeders, deer - Texas front-end insurance |
| Floor liners and protection | WeatherTech | Mud, lake water, kids, dogs |
Bed covers: the most-asked question first
Hard or soft is the fork in the road, and we wrote the full breakdown in soft vs hard tonneau covers. The short version: if the bed carries anything worth locking up, the hard retractable and folding covers from Retrax and BAKFlip earn their price. Fit matters as much as brand - a cover that seals on a display rack and a cover that seals on your specific bed with a spray-in liner are two different questions, which is why we install what we sell.
Steps: fixed or powered
Once a truck is leveled or lifted, the first passenger comment is always about the climb. Fixed steps from N-Fab and Westin are the durable, simple answer. AMP Research PowerSteps - the ones that drop down when the door opens - are the clean look, and they are wired into the truck, which is exactly why you want a shop doing it. We compared the two routes in stationary vs electric running boards.

Lighting and front-end protection
Morimoto is the lighting brand we hang our name on - plug-and-play housings and LED upgrades that put light on the road in a proper beam pattern instead of blinding oncoming traffic on TX-75. On the protection side, Ranch Hand bumpers and grille guards are practically a uniform in this county, and for good reason: hitting a deer at 60 with and without one are very different insurance phone calls.
Why have a shop install it?
Plenty of accessories are DIY-able, and we will say so when that is true. The value shows up on the wired and fitted stuff: powered steps and lighting get clean, loomed, fused wiring instead of vampire taps; covers get shimmed and sealed so they do not leak or rattle; bumpers go on square with the hardware torqued. Most bolt-on accessory installs are in and out the same day, and the work is backed by the shop that did it - the same reason folks pick us for suspension, covered in what to look for in a truck shop.
How accessory pricing works
Accessories do not fit a neat price menu the way suspension does - a soft roll-up cover and a powered retractable cover for the same bed are hundreds of dollars apart before labor, and steps range from simple bolt-ons to wired PowerSteps. So we quote it straight: the part at its real price, the install labor for your specific truck, and nothing discovered later. Estimates are free, and we reply within 1 business day. Tell us the truck, the accessory, and how you use the bed, and you will get a number you can plan around.
Timing it with a bigger build
If a lift, level, or wheel and tire package is on your list, tell us about the accessories at the same time. Steps are the obvious one - the right choice changes once the truck is taller - but bed covers and lighting also install cleaner as part of one scheduled visit than as three separate trips up I-45. We will order everything ahead so the truck goes up on the lift once and comes back done.
Can you finance accessories?
Yes. Financing and lease-to-own available - Affirm, Sunbit, Acima, Snap and Kafene. Lease-to-own programs run up to $5,000, and Affirm and Sunbit can handle larger builds - which matters when a bumper, steps, and a bed cover go on in one visit, or when accessories ride along with a wheel and tire package. Details and applications are on our financing page.
